August 25: Woodlawn vs. Southlake Christian

The 'Blazers battled hard to defeat conference opponent SouthLake Christian Academy 5-2 thanks to a storming second half effort. Down 1-0 at half time, Woodlawn flew out of the gates thanks to 2 quick goals from RJ Klein, followed by classy finishes from Tanner Atkins and Logan Zucker. Fears of an SLCA comeback after their second goal were quickly squashed by RJ, who finished off his hat-trick after some great combination play from the Woodlawn midfield. A defensive stand, spearheaded by good tackling from Drake Bowerman and Adina Jacobson, ensured victory in the final minutes and rounded out a great team display!
